Fair Weather...

It's ART season here in Seattle! The inaugural Seattle Art Fair opens this evening with a preview party at the  CenturyLink Field Event Center (WaMu Theater), and the fair runs through Sunday, Aug 2nd.   This means a jam packed weekend for art lovers awaits with numerous art happenings coinciding with this main event. Too many to mention here so I am including a link at the bottom of this post.   In conjunction with the fair I will have new work on display for this weekend only at the Hall Spassov Gallery  in Seattle. Alexis Hotel Show

The Pleasure Is All Mine - Troy Gua - Acrylic and resin on canvas, 2009, 48 x 48 Artist Troy Gua Solea by Ken Susynski  -2009 oil on canvas- 32" x 38" Artist Kenneth Susynski I am honored to be part of a three person show that opened at the Alexis Hotel this month. I am exhibiting work along with two amazing northwest artists, Troy Gua and Kenneth Susynski. Gua’s work features big graphic portraits in a punchy pop art style done in acrylic and resign. Susynski has a style that is more abstract with a vibrant energy and engaging compositions. Seattle Art Scene

Last Thursday was the downtown Seattle Art Walk. The dry, mid summer evening was perfect for taking in the local art scene. In the above photo, ceramic artist, Carol Gouthro, stands next to her piece titled Ripe #14. On display as part of a group show at the Pacini Lubel Gallery Scroll down to see additional images of Carol's work. This group show features work from many of the gallery's amazing artists and I am humbled by the level of talent and quality of work represented. Here are some highlights from the evening...
